Prof. Dr. Klaus-Peter Kossakowski

Dr Klaus-Peter Kossakowski is the managing director of DFN-CERT Services GmbH. He has been working in the field of computer and network security for more than 20 years. In 1988 he was one of the founding members of the Virus Test Centre at the University of Hamburg. In 1993 he established the DFN-CERT as the first German CERT. Since 1998 he has worked as a consultant and manager for various companies specialising in IT security. He specialises in risk management, the development of scalable security infrastructures and exciting topics such as early warning of new attacks and the creation of informative situation reports for decision makers.
